Unrestricted!!!

Dax Hayes Alpha of a cougar pack loves his family that was never the question after some problems with one of his fomer employees and helping his sister's MacKenzie deal with her mate who was running scared......he wanted a break to relax but he was also craving to find his mate and start a family of his own.
Effie Parks had a tough life growing up with a mother in prison and her going through the foster care sure her foster parents weren't bad but they didn't truly gave her what she was longing for......love. Until she was placed with a lovely couple, Mark and Claire at the age of sixteen who gave her unconditional love and much more.
A business deal brought Effie and Dax together, the first phone call between Effie and Dax left them both wanting to get to know each other more......When Dax and Effie met for the first time, it was like they both were coming home....The attraction between them was off the charts.
As they continued to work together, they fell in love....Loved the way Effie handled the news about Dax being a shifter and everything else that came regarding her being his One.
Effie's douche bag of ex-boyfriend tried to harm her but he didn't count on Dax coming to her rescue....No matter what Dax and Effie were not going to let anything nor anyone destroy their happiness.
As always it was great to see the characters from the previous series dropping in, in this new venture......Moxie North did a marvelous job, I'm looking forward to the next installment.

As much as I HATED the last book with Dex's sister and her immature, stupid, cruel, did I mention stupid(?) Bear mate who finally after 96% of the book got his head out of his ass and decided to actually mate his mate, big breath, I loved this romance between Dex and Effie. The way that Dex treated Effie is the way that a mate should be treated as far as I'm concerned. Although I wasn't a fan of her personal look, I really liked her personality. And Dex, whew, he's just delicious.. I seriously hope that Cassie is the focus of the next story in the series. I definitely recommend this book. Enjoy!

I have read other works by this author, a book series related to this particular book in fact, which I LOVED. Sadly, I struggled to connect with the female in this book, she was very attached to particular things - defined by them really, seemingly immature, making her very difficult for me to attach to. The other females that she's written I was easily able to imagine and grow to love, most of this book I spent fast forwarding and maybe read a quarter of it before finally skipping to the end. Disappointed.
